Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients with professionalism and respect
• Obtains patient history including chief complaint and allergies
• Performs documentation and measurements: visual acuity, lensometry, visual fields, motility, pupillary function, OCT, photography, color plates, tonometry, pachymetry, Humphrey fields, refraction
• Troubleshoots instrument issues and maintains equipment
• Returns calls and communicates prescriptions; escorts patients between areas
• Maintains stock levels and exam lane cleanliness
