Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
• 1 year Ophthalmology/Optometry Office (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs and records pertinent clinical measures to include Visual Acuities, Refractometry, Application Tonometry, Keratometry, Slit Lamp Exams, Visual Fields, OCT and other ancillary testing under supervision.
• Identifies the patients complaint or reason for visit and assesses immediate needs to ensure timely care.
• Prepares referral follow up letters and dictations for referring physicians for review and signature.
• Facilitates patient education through videos and brochures; prepares prescription refills for physician review and signature.
• Reviews and answers patient voicemails and returns calls to patients and pharmacies promptly.
• Maintains a professional image and positive interactions with patients and families.
