Riverside Health System is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant in Williamsburg, VA. This non-certified, pre-entry role works under supervision to greet patients, document complaints, and perform essential ophthalmic measurements.

The position prepares prescription refills, letters, and referrals while supporting physicians and clinical staff. A high school diploma or GED is required; ophthalmology experience is preferred.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required, preferred.
• 1 year Ophthalmology/Optometry office experience preferred.
• Good communication and patient-care skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform and record ophthalmic measurements and tests under supervision.
• Communicate and document information to physicians and team members.
• Prepare refills, referrals, and dictations for physician review.
• Answer patient voicemails and calls promptly.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with HIPAA/OSHA.
