Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• OA1/OAII ophthalmic assistant experience levels specified in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
• Records ocular and systemic history and visual acuity.
• Performs tests and advanced ophthalmic procedures as scheduled.
• Operates ophthalmoscopic and diagnostic equipment.
• Acts as scribe and enters data into EMR or paper charts.
• Administers topical or oral ophthalmic medications.
• Assists with patient education and manages patient flow.
