Job summary

Vision Innovation Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Associate to join our patient care team. The role focuses on assisting providers with diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures and related administrative tasks. Training is provided to grow into an ophthalmic technician or scribe.

You will perform visual function tests, verify patient histories, and use equipment like Humphrey and OCT. Willingness to travel to multiple locations is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and verify information.
• Perform visual function and diagnostic tests (applanation tonometry, refraction, retinoscopy).
• Utilize tools such as a Humphrey field analyzer and OCT to take eye measurements.
• Inform ophthalmologist about changes to a patient’s visual acuity and other vision issues.
• Dilate eyes to prepare patients for their eye exam.
• Explain how to properly use eye drops or other medications.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Willing to travel to other locations.
