Job summary

Actalent is hiring an Ophthalmic Assistant in San Antonio, TX to document physician visits in the EMR and assist during examinations. The role includes hands-on instrument use and performing patient workups after visits, under physician guidance.

You will communicate treatment procedures to patients and help maintain clinic flow. Schedule is M-F, onsite in San Antonio with hours around 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Qualifications

• 6 months - 1+ year ophthalmology experience OR a life science BS/AS.
• Experience handling 30+ patients per day.
• Ophthalmic experience preferred.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Document physician visits in the EMR system.
• Handle hands-on instrument tasks as directed by the physician.
• Perform workups after doctor visits with patients.
• Communicate procedures and treatments clearly to patients.

Work Environment

M-F

6:30AM-6:00PM (will be scheduled between there depending on the need of the clinic. Rarely will start that early or work that late unless the clinic is extremely busy.)

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
