Job summary

Actalent is hiring an Ophthalmic Assistant for a fully onsite role in Helotes, TX (near San Antonio).

The position involves documenting physician visits in the EMR, hands-on instrument work under the physician, and conducting post-visit workups with patients while explaining procedures and treatments. A science degree is required and ophthalmic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or B.S. in Science is mandatory.
• Ophthalmic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document physician visits in the EMR system.
• Hands on with ophthalmic instruments when asked by physician.
• Perform workups after doctor visits with patients.
• Communicate with patients about procedures and treatments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
