Job summary

American Emergency Vehicles (AEV) within Terex Corporation seeks an OPEX Coordinator to drive continuous improvement across vehicle manufacturing operations, partnering with production, quality, engineering and supply chain to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.

The role deploys Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools, leads 5S and value stream mapping, conducts root-cause analysis, and coaches teams to sustain an operational excellence culture on the production floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-3 years vehicle manufacturing experience.
• MS Office software capabilities (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Computer skills.
• Good math skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to interact with others positively and professionally.
• Quality organizational skills and be a self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across production lines.
• Facilitate 5S, standard work, value stream mapping, and waste reduction projects.
• Reconcile scanned hours to playbook hours with production supervisors.
• Identify areas for time studies and kaizen events to improve accuracy and standard work.
• Conduct root cause analysis to eliminate waste and troubleshoot issues.
• Coach and train employees on OpEx continuous improvements.
• Help develop a culture that promotes operational excellence and continuous improvements.
• Communicate project scope and report status to upper management as needed.
• Coordinate, monitor, and drive project activities, manage risks, issues, changes, and resources.
• Evaluate and close the project, archive lessons learned, and hand over to process owner.
• Participate in Gemba walks and resolve countermeasure issues.
• Participate in production setup and move teams to coordinate tasks and materials.
