  • Operate manufacturing equipment, hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other production machinery as trained and certified.
  • Inspect products for quality concerns and support corrective actions to meet customer specs.
  • Follow work instructions, production schedules, safety procedures, and quality standards; adapt to changing priorities.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; assist with housekeeping, inventory movement, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Valto is searching for a Multi-Skilled Operator to be based out of Florence, KY. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this person will be responsible for serving as a versatile production team member who is cross-trained to perform a variety of manufacturing, material handling, finishing, and support functions throughout the plant. This position fills in for team members as needed, supports production flow across multiple departments, and helps ensure the consistent production of high-quality, defect-free products while maintaining safety, quality, and operational standards.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Perform a variety of production functions across multiple departments, including lamination, material preparation, finishing, inspection, assembly, equipment operation, and material handling.
  • Fill in for absent team members and provide operational support where production needs are greatest to maintain workflow and production schedules.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment, hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other production machinery as trained and certified.
  • Inspect products and processes for quality concerns, identify defects, and support corrective actions to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Follow work instructions, production schedules, safety procedures, and quality standards while adapting quickly to changing production priorities.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while assisting with housekeeping, inventory movement, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you bring to the table:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, industrial, production, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn and perform multiple production processes and safely operate a variety of manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing work assignments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications, including forklift, crane, or other equipment certifications as required.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills with a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, measurements, and basic manufacturing documentation.

Work Environment:Manufacturing/Production Floor

Manufacturing/Production Floor - This position operates in a manufacturing environment where the noise level can be loud. Employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and moving machinery. Appropriate safety gear is required and provided.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess sufficient vision, hearing, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity to safely operate equipment, inspect products, and perform a variety of production tasks.
  • Ability to work safely around moving machinery, material handling equipment, chemicals, dust, noise, and other manufacturing-related hazards.
  • Required to wear department-specific personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include safety glasses, hard hat, respirator, Tyvek® suit, hearing protection, gloves, face shield, and steel-toed footwear depending on assigned duties.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, temperature fluctuations, and prolonged standing on concrete surfaces.
  • Must be capable of transitioning between work areas and performing a wide range of physically demanding tasks while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
