Job summary

Valto, Inc is seeking a Machine Operator in Channahon, IL to operate front-end production equipment on a full-time basis. The role requires 2–5 years of manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with computerized controls.

The position offers hourly pay of $24.00–$26.00, with a night shift differential and opportunities for overtime. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and control all front-end production equipment during startup, shutdown, and normal manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor product quality and ensure all products meet company quality standards, specifications, and documentation requirements.
  • Read and adjust machine parameters using computerized controls to maintain optimal production performance.
  • Monitor the operating condition of equipment and machinery, identify issues, and communicate equipment concerns to supervisors and maintenance personnel.
  • Complete required production documentation, recordkeeping, and operational reports accurately and timely.
  • Train and support new and temporary employees while promoting safe work practices and operational excellence.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Support production requirements by working various shifts and assisting with additional duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $24.00 up to $26.00 (+ night shift differential)

Monday-Thursday 6pm-6am

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and controlling front-end production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. This role leads front-end line activities, maintains product quality standards, performs equipment adjustments, and supports production teams in achieving safety, quality, and productivity goals.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience, with strong mechanical aptitude, experience operating production equipment and computerized controls, and the ability to maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

How You'll Make an Impact

What You Bring to the Table

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

2-5 years of manufacturing, machine operation, or industrial production experience preferred.

Ability to operate front-end manufacturing equipment, monorail cranes, manual lifts, hand tools, scrapers, and utility knives safely and effectively.

Ability to read measuring instruments, including tape measures and other production measurement tools.

Experience working with computerized machine controls and adjusting production parameters.

Strong understanding of workplace safety requirements, product quality standards, and manufacturing processes.
