Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to prepare and run production lines in our Wooster, OH facility. You will tool and set parameters per work orders, monitor status, and act on deviations to ensure quality and efficiency.

You’ll inspect parts for defects, support maintenance, and strictly follow safety rules with PPE usage. The role requires reading blueprints, following English instructions, and at least one year of machine operation experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Operate medium complex machinery in manufacturing.
  • Good visual acuity.
  • Able to lift medium-heavy objects if needed.
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience operating machines in manufacturing.
  • Experience with power tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information.

  • Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts per protocol.
  • Support maintenance in repair, downtime prevention and inspection of machines.

Job description

  • Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information
  • Check production status within and in between each production sequence and taking action in case of deviations
  • Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes
  • Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol
  • Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines
  • Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English
  • Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment
  • Good visual acuity
  • Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience of operating machines in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with power tools
  • Ability to read Blueprints
