ProAmpac Holdings, Inc. in Griffin, GA, is seeking an Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team.

The role focuses on setting up extruders, reading orders, selecting resins, operating equipment, and maintaining quality standards on 12-hour rotating shifts. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in warehouse operations, strong attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work in a team with overtime as required.

• Ensure daily operation aligns with Quality System policies.

Description

We are currently looking for a Extrusion Operator at our Griffin, GA location.

Essential Duties and Tasks

• Ensure all areas are clean, safe, and well maintained.
• Sets-up machine to specifications outlined on the order
• Read orders, select proper resins, and additives.
• Operate extruders at maximum output with minimum scrap generated.
• Sets-up machine to standard set-up time & procedure.
• Operate extruders and resin-handling equipment
• Operates machine to standard production target and waste target.
• Trouble shoots machine when it is down or not performing to standard.
• Assists maintenance with machine repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the machine is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up the Quality System.
• Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team member
• Ensures work area is kept clean according to facility/corporate standards.
• Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are met.
• Prepare and update maintenance repairs on GEMBA boards.
• Performs inspections per Quality Procedure
• Update and review GEMBA board with maintenance issues
