Job summary

Techmer PM in Dalton, GA is seeking a Machine Operator for the 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Monday–Friday). You will operate extrusion and mixing equipment to produce plastic compounds, following SOPs and quality specs.

The position starts at $20.00 per hour with shift differential, and includes medical benefits from day one, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid holidays and vacation, tuition reimbursement, and potential bonuses. Weekly pay applies for hourly staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Extrusion experience highly desired.

We are currently seeking a Machine Operator for our Dalton, Georgia facility.

• Shift: 3rd Shift, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday
• Training Schedule: Initial training will be conducted on the current rotating shifts:
  • 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or
  • 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
  • Monday through Thursday
• Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour and up depending on experience + shift differential.

Job Purpose:

Operate all key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds for unique and specialty customer applications. Works safely to protect themselves, their coworkers, and the facility by following all standard operating procedures. Engaged in process measurement, control, and improvement in all aspects of their assigned tasks. Learns and understands key operating parameters which ensure that only in specification and high-quality product is delivered to our customers.

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Two years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Extrusion experience is highly desired.l>
• Ability to lift 55 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to learn the functionality of plant equipment.

Skills/Knowledge/Ability:

• Basic knowledge of running an extruder or mixing equipment.
• Ability to learn pre and postproduction equipment and operations (drying, bagging, grinding, etc.).
• General mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot problems.
