Job summary

Sunrise FS in Illinois is seeking a candidate to run the chemical bay, ensuring product availability and equipment is maintained for operators. The role involves blending chemicals, inventory control, seed treatment support, and recording application loads.

As part of day-to-day duties, you will prepare equipment for blending and delivery, repair machinery as needed, and maintain housekeeping in the warehouse.

Salary Range: $20.00 - $23.00

Position Summary

Run the chemical bay effectively and efficiently to keep product available for operators and maintain equipment in optimal condition.

Essential Job Functions

• Blend chemicals according to recommended rates and procedures
• Perform inventory control
• Seasonally assist the Location Manager in all seed treatment operations, including warehousing, inventory, and logistics
• Record and track application loads sent out to operators
• Prepare material handling, blending, and storage equipment for blending and delivery of product
• Repair and rebuild equipment as needed
• Edit blend tickets
• Maintain good housekeeping in work area and warehouse
• Work in other departments during off‑peak season

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a CDL and a commercial applicator’s license
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
• Must be able to work hours other than those considered normal to meet seasonal demands
• Demonstrate basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, with the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required Illinois Department of Agriculture Pesticide Licenses
