Job summary

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, seeks an Operator to run the tube mill and keep the mill operating during the 1st shift in Tulsa, OK. Responsibilities include safety, quality, and maintaining a clean, organized work area while meeting production schedules.

You will train on parts programming and mill set-ups, perform quality checks, minimize scrap, and collaborate with maintenance to resolve issues quickly.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic mechanical aptitude required
• Experience using measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, and tape measures
• Ability to read OEM setup charts and adjust roll tooling
• Capable of changing out jaws, blades, and refilling oil on equipment
• Demonstrated ability to meet scheduling time frames
• Document downtime to drive KPI tracking
• Good communication and teamwork for continuous mill flow
• Willingness to support continuous improvement activities

Responsibilities

• Operate the tube mill and maintain continuous operation during the shift
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Cross-train on parts programming and mill set-ups
• Implement TPM of processes and equipment in the area
• Coordinate daily and weekly activities with the department supervisor
• Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products
• Minimize scrap and resolve issues with maintenance hands-on
• Tag and report downtime accurately to KPI systems

This position will be responsible for the tube mill operations and equipment of the mill to insure continuous operation during the shift. **This will be a 1st shfit position. Monday-Thursday, 5:00am to 3:30pm. Overtime as required.****What you will be doing:**Safety, quality, priorities above all Focus on the keeping the mill operational Maintain clean, safe ,organized work area, 5SCross Training of team members on parts programming and mill set ups TPM of process and equipment in the area Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products. Minimize scrap Work with maintenance hands on to get issues resolved in a timely manner.**The skills and experience you need:**High School diploma or GED Equivalent Good mechanical aptitude Experience in using special measuring devices, micrometer, calipers, tape measure Must be able to read set up charts supplied by OEM and interpret them to roll tooling adjustments. Change out cut off jaws, blades, and refill oil levels of equipment Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames of scheduling Must be able to document down time through seamless reporting system to drive KPI trackingGood communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill and material handler for proper tagging of productAbility to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the millAbility to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities**This role is located in Tulsa, OK.**Questions about this role?
