Job summary

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY brand, seeks a Mill Operator Trainee to support mill operations in Tulsa, OK. The role focuses on keeping the mill running, ensuring safety, quality, and continuous flow of materials during the shift.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and hands-on experience with measuring devices, tooling setup, forklift and crane certification, and basic robot programming. This is a 2nd shift position with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, quality, and production priorities.

• Coordinate daily/weekly activities with supervisor.
• Perform quality checks on finished products and minimize scrap.
• Collaborate with maintenance to resolve issues promptly.
• Cross-train peers on parts programming and mill setups.

# Mill Operator TraineeAmeristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Mill Op Trainee. This position will be responsible for the roll from operations and equipment of the mill to insure continuous operation during the shift. **This is a 2nd shift position, Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 1:30am. Overtime as required.**Qualifications: To perform this job sucessfully, an individual must meet expecations of each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abillities required***Education:**** High School or GED Equivalent***Experience:**** *Experience:* + Experience in using special measuring devices, calipers, tape measure. + Must be able to navigate, set up equipment controller for proper operation and parts programming. + Roll Tooling experience with set ups and change over. + Change out press dies, cut off jaws, blades, and refill oil levels of equipment. + Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames + Good Mechanical Aptitude + Forklift and overhead crane certification + Experience with Robot programming***Other:**** Must be able to document down time through seamless reporting system to drive KPI tracking* Good communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill and material handler for proper tagging of product.* Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
