Job summary

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is seeking a Mill Operator Trainee in Tulsa, OK. This 2nd shift role focuses on maintaining continuous mill operation, setting up equipment, and ensuring safety and quality across the shift.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED and hands-on experience with measuring tools, tooling, and robot programming is a plus. Overtime may be required, with a Monday-Thursday schedule from 3:00pm to 1:30am.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with measuring devices and setup of equipment.
• Roll tooling setup and changeover experience.
• Ability to change press dies, jaws, blades and fill oil as needed.
• Ability to meet negotiated time frames and maintain quality.
• Good mechanical aptitude; forklift and overhead crane certification preferred.
• Experience with robot programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, quality, and priorities above all.
• Keep the mill operational and support continuous flow of material.
• Keep a clean, safe, organized 5S work area.
• Cross-train team members on parts programming and mill setups.
• Practice TPM of processes and equipment in the area.
• Coordinate daily and weekly activities with the supervisor.
• Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products.
• Minimize scrap and drive improvements with maintenance as needed.

Mill Operator Trainee# Mill Operator TraineeAmeristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Mill Op Trainee. This position will be responsible for the roll from operations and equipment of the mill to insure continuous operation during the shift. **This is a 2nd shift position, Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 1:30am. Overtime as required.**Qualifications: To perform this job sucessfully, an individual must meet expecations of each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abillities required***Education:**** High School or GED Equivalent***Experience:**** *Experience:* + Experience in using special measuring devices, calipers, tape measure. + Must be able to navigate, set up equipment controller for proper operation and parts programming. + Roll Tooling experience with set ups and change over. + Change out press dies, cut off jaws, blades, and refill oil levels of equipment. + Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames + Good Mechanical Aptitude + Forklift and overhead crane certification + Experience with Robot programming***Other:**** Must be able to document down time through seamless reporting system to drive KPI tracking* Good communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill and material handler for proper tagging of product.* Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
