FreshDirect is seeking an Operations Transformation Intern in New York to support data-driven process improvements across plant operations, transportation, planning, and customer experience. You will help document workflows, analyze KPIs, and translate root causes into actionable initiatives while collaborating with multiple teams.

You will gain hands-on experience in automation opportunities, workflow redesign, and performance optimization within a fast-paced retail logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing operational improvement and transformation projects across the organization.
• Document current-state workflows and identify process gaps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies.
• Analyze operational KPIs and performance metrics to uncover opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with root cause analyses of recurring operational challenges and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Measure and evaluate the impact of transformation initiatives through before-and-after performance analysis.
• Partner with Plant Operations, Transportation, Planning, and Customer Experience teams to support project execution and implementation.
• Create project updates, dashboards, and leadership-ready presentations to communicate progress and results.
