Job summary

Schaefer Plastics North America, LLC in Charlotte, NC seeks an organized Operations Training & Workforce Coordinator to support onboarding, training administration, and staffing coordination in our manufacturing operation. You will link Operations, staffing agencies, HR, and employees to ensure accurate onboarding and compliant training records.

The role requires experience with LMS systems, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• An associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of administrative, workforce coordination, training coordination, or operations support experience in manufacturing/logistics.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other employee training platforms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Day 1 onboarding activities for new hires, including orientation scheduling and payroll setup requests.
• Manage onboarding documentation and training records.
• Administer LMS: assign training modules, monitor completions, troubleshoot access issues, maintain records.
• Track safety, compliance, and operational training requirements (OSHA, certifications).
• Coordinate training schedules, assessments, and evaluations to meet standards.
• Maintain training records, certifications, attendance logs, and employee qualifications.
• Organize logistics for training sessions (classrooms, Teams/Zoom, materials).
• Coordinate staffing requests with staffing agencies and hiring managers.
• Assist with candidate scheduling, interviews, plant tours, and communication with partners.
• Support pre-employment processes (background checks, drug screenings).
• Maintain onboarding records and progress tracking.
• Serve as a resource for onboarding, timekeeping, payroll inquiries, and workforce administration.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives and workforce communication.
