Novelis Ashville is seeking an EHS Coordinator to support environmental, health, and safety programs at the plant. You will conduct investigations, report concerns, and propose corrective actions in collaboration with employees, leadership, and regulators.

The role requires handling permits, data collection, and records management, while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational safety, environmental science, or a related field, or an associate degree with relevant EHS experience.
• Ability to pursue applicable EHS certification if not certified.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Team oriented with ability to work independently and in groups.
• Ability to organize records, reports, and compliance documentation accurately.

Responsabilités

• Prepare environmental, health, and safety reports for local, state, and federal agencies.
• Maintain environmental permits and operating records.
• Deliver EHS training to plant employees per regulatory and policy requirements.
• Monitor regulatory initiatives and share updates with management.
• Audit and maintain systems supporting environmental programs and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve environmental compliance and data reporting.
• Build relationships with environmental regulatory authorities and escort inspectors.
• Conduct safety observations and follow up actions.
