Job summary

West Yost is seeking an Operational Technology Intern for the OTCR Group in Sacramento, CA. You will work alongside engineers on real projects supporting critical water and wastewater infrastructure, focusing on PLC programming, SCADA configuration, HMI development, and cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
• Interest in industrial automation, OT, or cybersecurity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with PLC programming and SCADA configuration activities.
• Assist electrical and controls engineers with drawings and design documentation.
• Participate in field visits and help document existing equipment and conditions.
• Support troubleshooting, commissioning, and system upgrades.
• Contribute to technical documentation and SOP development.
