Job summary

Harvest College invites you to join its Real Time Applications and SCADA team as an internship. You will gain hands-on exposure to industrial control systems, OT, field communications, data acquisition, HMI development, and pipeline operations while collaborating with SCADA, Automation, IT, and Operations personnel.

Under mentorship, you will monitor performance, assist with testing and documentation, develop SCADA graphics and dashboards, and learn field device integration.

Qualifications

• Applicant must have full summer availability.
• Interest in pursuing a career in the oil & gas industry.
• GPA 3.25 or higher (Preferred 3.5 or higher).
• Strong interest in SCADA, OT, industrial automation, IT, or pipeline operations.
• Basic understanding of computer systems, networking, programming, or related technical concepts.
• Exposure to SQL, Python, PowerShell, scripting, databases, or other programming concepts is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and technical concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document technical information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SCADA system performance, alarms, and data quality.
• Troubleshoot SCADA applications and data issues under guidance.
• Validate SCADA points, tags, historian data, and system configurations.
• Test and document system changes prior to deployment.
• Create and modify SCADA graphics, HMIs, trends, reports, and dashboards.
• Assist with field communication architecture and integration.
• Document system drawings, inventory, and configuration management.
• Support upgrades, migrations, and project work.
