Overview

As Operations Technician I, II, III – Maintenance, you’ll perform a variety of tasks, including reading and interpreting drawings, supporting pipeline operations, safely maintaining facility equipment and analyzing data to resolve technical and operational problems. Knowledge of permits and compliance, accurate record‑keeping and a focus on safety will bring success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Perform various tasks to safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading and interpreting drawings, inspecting and supervising equipment, and maintaining operational/technical standards and/or governmental requirements.
  • Analyze data and collaborate with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems.
  • Follow all company policies and apply appropriate operating and maintenance procedures.
  • Acquire knowledge of and adhere to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets.
  • Maintain general knowledge of site/location/equipment/specific permits and compliance.
  • Complete assigned reports and logs, and maintain accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Problem‑solve, troubleshoot, operate and maintain all natural gas processing plant equipment and facilities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance for compressor stations and/or natural gas processing plant equipment and facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Required: High School Diploma/GED and minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role.
  • Preferred: Associate’s or 2‑year technical degree and minimum two (2) years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry.
Physical & Work Requirements
  • Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces.
  • Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team‑lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed.
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time.
  • Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).
  • Use hand tools.
Other Requirements
  • Must possess a valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Demonstrate aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as the utmost priority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills, and advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.
  • Demonstrate ability to operate gas processing plant equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience performing mechanic duties on solar gas‑tired turbines/compressors.
  • Experience performing mechanic duties on centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, air compressors, and cooling fans.
  • Experience with engine diagnostic tools and troubleshooting.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of natural gas‑fired turbines.
