Job summary

Belk is seeking an Operations Team Lead to drive sales and create a positive customer experience by efficiently receiving and processing inbound deliveries and preparing new merchandise to be customer-ready.

The role leads a team in outbound shipments, replenishment, and store maintenance, collaborating with merchandising, omni, and selling teams to achieve store objectives and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience and a dedication to customer service excellence.
• Ability to use data, guidance, and judgement to support timely and effective decisions.
• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environment.
• Comfortable with technology, including smart phones, tablet computers and Windows-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership and accountability in achieving store objectives and metrics.
• Execute store shipment deliveries and lead the team in accurate, efficient product processing.
• Communicate daily goals and tasks, and mentor team knowledge for better results.
• Plan inbound and outbound activities using shipment systems and participate in weekly leadership workload planning.
• Lead inventory accuracy and asset protection, including manifests, transfers, and damaged item processing.
• Track store supply usage and place replenishment orders; support facilities processes and housekeeping.
