Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Team Leader to direct the program team, own end-to-end delivery, and manage multimillion-dollar budgets for large corporate meetings across a multiprogram calendar.

You will serve as the client’s primary delivery contact, run planning cadences, and ensure on-time, on-budget execution from kickoff through onsite close. A CMP/CMM and strong leadership are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years delivering large corporate meetings and events.
• Experience on a dedicated account team operating under a client statement of work.
• Ownership of multimillion dollar program budgets with accurate forecasts and reconciliations.
• Delivery of large conferences with thousands of attendees within a multiprogram annual calendar.
• Advanced proficiency with Cvent (event builds, registrations, reporting, integrations).

Responsibilities

• Lead the dedicated account program team across planning, budgeting, and delivery for all programs.
• Own delivery from kickoff through onsite execution, including flagship events.
• Serve as the client’s primary delivery contact with regular planning cadences and status reporting.
• Manage master budgets, forecasts, and supplier commitments with financial reporting to the client.
• Oversee master timelines in Smartsheet and ensure on-time delivery across teams and stakeholders.
• Lead onsite delivery with staffing plans, run of show, and issue escalation for major programs.
• Maintain program documentation and ensure renewal value through structured debriefs.
• Collaborate with the Head of Event Operations on scope, staffing forecasts, and change requests.
