POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

Alutiiq Information Managment, LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC has an opportunity for an Operations Support Specialist in Oahu, Hawaii. This position will provide Additive Manufacturing Program liaison support efforts at Camp H. M. Smith, Oahu, Hawaii. The role serves as the critical operational, logistical, and communicative bridge supporting The Forge onboard Schofield Barracks and the US INDOPACIFIC COMMAND (USINDOPACIP/PACOM) Advanced Manufacturing (AdvM) Expansion Initiative. The successful candidate will coordinate multi-agency operations, support strategic planning initiatives, manage program-level agreements, and assist in technical communications to enable rapid repair and sustainment technologies across Pacific theater nodes.

  • Serve as an administrative and operational interface between RESTORE engineering teams, command staff, and joint agency initiatives (such as the Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment [IBAS] partnership, Kuʻi Hao, and The Forge).
  • Coordinate high-level project management timelines, tracking deliverable status, action items, and milestone schedules.
  • Develop, maintain, and update critical project tracking databases, spreadsheets, and information exchange logs for regional initiatives.
  • Maintain and track Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) between federal, state, and host-nation entities.
  • Maintain configuration management processes for version control of technical manuals, publications, and drawings. Technical Communications & Outreach (30%)
  • Translate complex engineering concepts, advanced manufacturing metrics, and technical data into polished, command-ready PowerPoint briefings, white papers, infographics, and executive summaries.
  • Synthesize extensive program reports (such as IDA, DoD, and Navy policy evaluations) into concise executive action reports.
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for STEM outreach, technical demonstrations, and Military Affairs Council (MAC) briefings. Mission Logistics & Site Survey Support (20%)
  • Coordinate logistical timelines and travel planning for OCONUS site surveys and joint exercise support across regional Pacific nodes.
  • Assist in routing and securing proper foreign travel clearances, theater access notifications, and compliance documents (such as STEP registration, SPOT LOAs, and APACS requirements).
  • Coordinate meeting structures, minute-taking, and distribution of action logs for the Balikatan Initial Planning Conferences (IPC) and subsequent operations. Quality Control and Program Administration (10%)
  • Assist the Program Management Team in tracking expenditures, administrative resource allocation, and program schedules.
  • Document project successes and prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reports for the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
Pay Range: $55,000 to $65,000 Annually
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, Business Administration, International Relations, History, or a related field requiring heavy research, synthesis, and writing capabilities.
  • Clearance: Active DoD Secret security clearance (or active Interim Secret with fully initiated background investigation). Must be a US Citizen.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience. Prior exposure to command-level environments (such as a US PACOM Student Volunteer Internship or similar DoD command experience) is highly preferred.
  • Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills. Proven ability to translate technical material for non-technical leadership.
  • Technical Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Direct experience or familiarity utilizing GenAI/Generative Agent tools for data categorization, synthesis, and analysis is highly desirable.
  • Travel Readiness: Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% annually, including international travel (OCONUS) within the Pacific Area of Responsibility (AOR). Must hold a valid U.S. Passport. Preferred Qualifications:
  • Academic or professional focus on East Asian regional, societal, and governmental dynamics.
  • Basic/semi-conversational language proficiency in a regional language (e.g., Japanese, Korean, Tagalog).
  • Familiarity with DoD Operations Security (OPSEC) frameworks and information handling protocols (C/S/TS).
