JOB LOCATION: Bannockburn, IL

POSITION: Operations Support Specialist

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Takeda Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. is seeking an Operations Support Specialist with the following duties: support web-based applications (.Net, Java), ensuring seamless operation of customer-facing and internal cloud applications; provide round-the-clock production support focusing on automation, scalability, security, and application resiliency; troubleshoot performance issues using tools like AppDynamics and CloudWatch, maintaining detailed documentation to improve cloud operations; lead and support Major Incident Management (MIM) processes to minimize downtime; manage AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudFront) for performance and availability; monitor containerized microservices in Kubernetes; lead cloud migration projects; design disaster recovery solutions; implement DevOps practices with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, and CircleCI; resolve technical issues efficiently, with experience in Incident Support, Production Support, and Release Management; oversee project timelines, responsibilities, and risks; collaborate with teams and train support staff; use incident tracking tools like Jira, ServiceNow, and Remedy. Up to 60% remote work is permitted.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering or related field, plus 8 years of relevant experience. Experience must include managing and troubleshooting applications in cloud environments (AWS, GCP), containerized systems (Docker, Kubernetes), configuring application servers (Apache Tomcat, IIS) for Java and .NET, using monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ThousandEyes), leading Major Incident Management processes, managing relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL), and using version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket). Proficiency in incident tracking and service management tools (Jira, ServiceNow, Remedy) is also required.

Full-time position with a salary range of $115,500 to $180,600 annually. Compensation and benefits are competitive and reflect the position's requirements and location.

The estimated salary range is indicative; actual salary will comply with local minimum wage laws. U.S. employees may be eligible for incentives, insurance, 401(k), disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, and well-being benefits. They may also accrue up to 80 hours of sick leave annually and 120 hours of paid vacation for new hires.
