Job summary

Owens & Minor is seeking an Operations Supervisor with continuous improvement experience to oversee daily operations and drive process enhancements in a healthcare logistics setting.

Responsibilities include leading the operations team, implementing Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, monitoring KPIs, and coaching staff to achieve safety, quality and productivity goals while ensuring compliance with SOPs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; healthcare/medical device industry exp preferred.
• 3+ years in supply chain or warehouse operations with leadership.
• Knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, and warehouse practices.
• Ability to lead, coach and mentor across levels; matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the operations team to ensure efficient, safe task completion.
• Identify improvements and implement Lean, Six Sigma or similar.
• Track KPIs and analyze data to recommend process changes.
• Provide training and mentorship on continuous improvement tools.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.
• Manage time, attendance, and schedules for assigned area.
• Provide performance feedback and coaching as needed.
• Oversee training adherence and succession planning.
• Achieve KPIs in Safety, Quality, Productivity, Turnover.
• Coordinate with Account Management, Transportation, CEC, and Ops.
• Support new customer implementations at the DC.
