Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Freight Supervisor to lead a team in ensuring shipments are moved on time and damage-free. You will supervise daily operations, coach staff, and keep safety and quality standards at the forefront while coordinating with customers and internal partners in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage schedules, rates, and claims. Location is on-site with typical warehouse operations and varied hours.

Qualifications

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
• Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NMFC, tariffs and related regulations preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop employees to improve retention and growth.
• Supervise daily workloads with focus on quality, safety, and deadlines.
• Monitor unsafe acts and correct promptly.
• Plan manpower and schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate assignments and ensure clear communication.
• Monitor service freight and ensure cut time compliance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining safety.
• Assist customers with rate quotes, claims, and appointments.
• Collect and report performance data for management.
• Build relationships with business partners to meet service standards.
• Ensure proper OS&D handling.
• Perform administrative tasks as required.
• Comply with laws and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
