FedEx Freight is seeking a hands-on supervisor to lead personnel in a dock/operations environment, ensuring shipments move on time and damage-free. You will recruit, coach and evaluate staff, coordinate daily schedules, and uphold safety and quality standards.

The role requires familiarity with LTL industry practices, DOT/OSHA regulations and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. This position is on-site with various operating shifts and travel as needed.

Formación

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
• Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of LTL Industry, DOT Rules and Regulations, OSHA Laws, Hazardous Materials Regulations, NMFC and Tariff Rules, as well as company policies and procedures, preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Multi-tasked oriented and possess good organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, manage, educate and develop company employees focusing on retention and growth.
• Supervise and direct employee work with a focus on quality, customer deliverables and safety.
• Plan daily manpower needs and set schedules to ensure timely, damage-free deliveries and pickups.
• Communicate job assignments clearly and coordinate with all employees.
• Monitor service freight and ensure cut time compliance.
• Identify freight moving at incorrect weight and classification and address OS&D properly.
• Perform administrative functions as required and ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
