Job summary

Heritage Auctions seeks an Operations Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day workflow of consignments and property. You will supervise staff, coordinate cross-department activities, and ensure inventory accuracy for safe handling and timely processing.

You will lead by example in a fast-paced environment, maintain production goals, uphold safety standards, and ensure deadlines are met with professionalism and organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant work/military experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience supervising or managing personnel.
• Proven ability to lead, delegate, prioritize and maintain accountability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily Operations staff including shippers, packers, and consignment coordinators.
• Assign priorities, monitor workloads, and meet deadlines and productivity targets.
• Coordinate receipt, processing, storage, movement, packing, and shipment of consignments.
• Train, coach, and support staff on procedures and safety.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and generate monthly productivity reports.
• Ensure property is packed, moved, and stored safely and efficiently.
• Oversee loading/unloading of trucks and the final disposition of sold/unsold property.
