Job summary

Heritage Auctions is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee day-to-day consignments and property handling, from receipt through storage, movement, and shipment. You will supervise staff, coordinate cross-department workflows, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure safety standards are met.

The role includes hands-on leadership, training, performance feedback, and ensuring deadlines and productivity targets are achieved in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant work or military experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising or managing personnel in operations, logistics, shipping, warehouse, or related environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of Operations staff, including shippers, packers, and consignment coordinators.
• Assign priorities, monitor workloads, and ensure deadlines and productivity expectations are met.
• Coordinate receipt, processing, storage, movement, packing, and shipment of consignments.
• Train and support staff on procedures, safety, and expectations.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and generate monthly productivity reports.
• Oversee boxing, packing, crating, and safe handling of property for shipments.
