Job summary

Heritage Auctions in Dallas, TX is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee day-to-day workflows for consignments and property, from receipt through storage, movement, and shipment.

You will supervise staff, coordinate across departments, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure property is handled safely and efficiently while meeting deadlines. This hands-on leadership role requires organization, problem-solving, and clear communication with management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant work or military experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising or managing personnel in operations or related environments.
• Ability to lead employees, delegate, manage priorities, and maintain accountability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Outlook and Excel.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, professional under pressure.
• Spanish-speaking skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of Operations staff, including shippers, packers, and consignment coordinators.
• Assign daily priorities, monitor workloads, and ensure deadlines and productivity expectations are met.
• Coordinate receipt, processing, storage, movement, packing, and shipment of consignments to Home Office, clients, and locations.
• Train, coach, and support Operations employees on procedures and safety.
• Monitor performance and provide feedback to maintain a productive work environment.
• Create monthly productivity and operations reports for management.
• Resolve operational issues and concerns as they arise.
• Oversee safe handling of fragile, valuable, and specialty property.
