Job summary

U.S. Xpress, Inc. in Tipp City, Ohio is seeking an experienced Operations professional to oversee driver performance, planning, and service delivery.

You will coordinate with drivers, ensure compliance with DOT regulations, and drive profitability through efficient asset utilization while maintaining strong customer relationships.

This on-site role requires a high school diploma and 3+ years in operations; remote work not available; compensation $52,000–$56,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Equivalent years of experience defined as one year of professional experience per year of college.
• 3+ years of operations experience preferred.
• Transportation, logistics, or supervisory experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety metrics and KPIs around service pickup %, deadhead %, assignments per week, and other essential metrics.
• Supervise driver performance to balance business and driver needs.
• Coach drivers using High Performance Coaching to improve performance.
• Ensure high level of service for U.S. Xpress customers through proactive communication and strong relationships.
• Maximize profitability and revenue through efficient equipment utilization.
• Coordinate with drivers on physicals, random drug screens, and CDL renewal deadlines.
• Plan driver loads based on availability (PTA) and ensure timely service.
• Collaborate with other departments and perform yard duties as assigned.
