Job summary

U.S. Xpress in Duncan, OK is seeking a Supervisor II Account to oversee and develop drivers for assigned accounts. This role focuses on resolving customer service issues, ensuring on-time shipments, and maintaining high levels of satisfaction and safety.

You will promote safety, coach drivers, and coordinate with multiple departments to optimize performance and profitability. The position is on-site with no remote option in Duncan, OK.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years operations experience including Customer Service, Fleet Management, or Load Planning preferred.
  • Transportation, logistics, and/or supervisory a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and develop drivers for assigned accounts.
  • Address customer service issues or complaints.
  • Provide best course of action solutions for problem resolution on a daily basis.
  • Promote safety metrics and KPIs around service pickup, deadhead, assignments per week, and other key metrics.
  • Coordinate with drivers on physicals and CDL renewal deadlines.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maximize productivity.

What You’ll Do:

This position is responsible for supervising anddeveloping all drivers for assigned accounts; addressing customer serviceissues or complaints; and all shipments to meet the customer’s needs anddemands. Provides best course of action solutions for problem resolution on adaily basis to improve customer satisfaction, retention, utilization, andsafety.
PositionFunctions:
Proactively promote safety metrics and keyperformance indicators around service pickup %, deadhead %, assignmentsper week, and any other metric essential for the organization’sobjectives.
Supervises driver performance to ensure properbalance is achieved with business needs and driver needs.
Utilize High Performance Coaching toproactively coach drivers on performance or behavior expectations.
Ensure the highest level of service for U.S.Xpress customers by effectively managing expectations and commitmentsthrough strong relationships and proactive communication.
Maximize company profitability and revenuethrough appropriate equipment utilization.
Ensure win/win scenarios that result in bothhigh driver and customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Utilize effective communication to handlesensitive issues, difficult conversations, and/or driver disputes.
Effectively plan driver loads based onavailability (PTA) and ensure drivers and equipment are performing asnecessary to provide on-time service.
Coordinate with drivers on physicals andrandom drug screens as well as CDL renewal deadlines based on SafetyDepartment tracking and correspondence.
Utilize systems such as AS400 and XPM forvarious tasks to ensure maximum departmental productivity.
Collaborate with other operational and supportdepartments on various tasks.
Yard duties as assigned.
Proactively work toassist others in achieving the organization’s objectives.
Collaborate with all levels of the organization to harness the collective intelligence of the workforce.
Build credibility and trust among managed employees by providing prompt and constructive feedback or positive reinforcement.
Proactivelywork to assist others in achieving the organization’s objectives.

What We’re Looking For:
Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.

Experience

3+ yearsOperations experience including Customer Service, Fleet Management, orLoad Planning preferred

Transportation, logistics, and/or supervisory a plus

Skills & Abilities

Adept at assessing organizational dynamics and managing change
Works quickly and efficiently. Able to test solutions, learn, and iterate quickly
Proactive and pragmatic problem solver
Communicates effectively across multiple mediums
Comprehensive knowledge ofDOT regulations impacting daily operations preferred.
