Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a production supervisor to direct production operations across multiple departments on a single shift, ensuring cost-effective, on-time manufacture of quality products. This role requires willingness to work 2nd shift and lead a motivated team.

The supervisor will coordinate with plant functions, train staff, drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, and uphold safety and quality standards across daily activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and a college degree in a related field is preferred.
• Prior management experience in a food or poultry processing facility is required or substitution by related work.
• Strong communication, decision-making, organization, and computer skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Directs production operations and personnel to meet production and quality standards, manage budget, and provide data on products.
• Establishes short-term activities for production continuity and shift planning, material requisition, and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinates with other plant functions to support output, productivity, and quality.
• Directs, trains, and motivates the production labor force to meet schedules cost-effectively.
• Suggests improvements in production flow and machine/equipment modifications for quality gains.
