Job summary

Pilgrim's De Queen, AR is seeking a 2nd Shift 2nd Processing Production Supervisor to ensure adherence to procedures, drive productivity, and maintain customer specifications. This role reports to the production superintendent and oversees a team to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals.

Responsibilities include training staff, scheduling, evaluating performance, and collaborating with other departments on cost reduction and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.
• Leadership experience with managing 20+ employees.
• Effective communication both orally and in writing.
• Capable of independent decision making.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Must be able to work assigned hours/days - including weekends - as required.

Responsibilities

• Trains and provides an environment for employees to achieve their maximum quality and productivity performance in their respective positions.
• Plans and schedules manpower, materials, product and machines to effectively utilize departmental policies and procedures for safety, quality and satisfaction.
• Manages employee performance, providing feedback.
• Promotes department and company goodwill through proactive employee communication and involvement.
• Investigates quality improvement, cost reduction, method improvement, yield control and equipment maintenance and provides suggestions.
• Promotes safety throughout area where crew is working.
