Job summary

Pilgrim’s is hiring a Production Supervisor for the 1st shift to ensure procedures meet customer specifications while maximizing productivity and cost efficiency. The role requires leading a team, planning resources, and maintaining safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in supervision, strong communication skills, and is comfortable working hours including weekends. Poultry/food industry experience is a plus and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of previous Supervisory experience.
• Poultry or food industry experience a plus.
• Leadership skills with 20+ employees.
• Effective communication both orally and in writing.
• Capable of independent decision making.
• Must have basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Must be able to work assigned hours – including occasional weekends – as required.

Responsibilities

• Trains staff to achieve maximum quality and productivity.
• Plans and schedules manpower, materials, product and machines for safe, efficient operation.
• Manages employee performance, providing feedback.
• Promotes department and company goodwill through proactive communication.
• Investigates quality improvements, cost reductions, yield control and maintenance suggestions.
• Promotes safety throughout the area where crew is working.
