Job summary

First Hospitality, based in Chicago, seeks an Operations Supervisor to oversee daily hotel operations across Front Desk, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance. You will coordinate between departments to maintain service standards and smooth workflow, acting as a central point of contact for operational challenges.

You’ll lead and coach teams, ensure rooms and public areas meet Hyatt brand standards, resolve guest issues promptly, and support staffing, inventory, and cash handling with

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of supervisory experience in hotel operations or hospitality.
• Knowledge of Hyatt brand standards and PMS is preferred.
• Strong leadership, guest service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage.
• Lead, coach, train, and motivate associates for service excellence.
• Ensure rooms and public spaces meet brand standards and cleanliness.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly to maximize satisfaction and loyalty.
• Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Monitor inventory and cost controls for supplies and products.
• Handle cash, guest accounts, and assets with confidentiality.
• Serve as Manager on Duty as assigned and coordinate cross-department communication.
• Ensure compliance with Hyatt standards and safety regulations.
