Job summary

Keurig Dr Pepper is seeking an experienced Production Operations Supervisor for Ottumwa on 2nd shift. Lead multiple high-speed packaging lines, coach operators, and drive continuous improvement while managing labor and budgets.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and prior people management experience. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, quality, and productivity, coordinating with TPM/Lean initiatives, and developing a high-performing team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Experience in leadership/people management roles.
  • Experience facilitating TPM, Lean, Kaizen/Six Sigma events with results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Foster continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Coach production operators on schedules for multiple packaging lines.
  • Manage labor and operating expenses within budget.
  • Coordinate packaging to ensure safety, quality and productivity.
  • Review production records and drive long-term improvement solutions.
  • Staff, train, and develop the team to high performance.

Shift & Schedule:

This is a full-time position on 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 1:00pm - 9:30pm. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as scheduled is required.

Operations Supervisor - Ottumwa

The Production Operations Supervisor manages and coordinates the activities of production personnel engaged in packaging beverage products for storage & shipment, including providing leadership, direction and facilitation on multiple high speed production lines.

Position Responsibilities
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Cultural liaison to shop floor team members for TPM methodology and a Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Direct and coach production operators in the execution of daily/weekly production schedules for multiple packaging lines.
  • Manage within labor and operating expense budget.
  • Coordinate beverages packaging ensuring safety, quality and productivity while minimizing waste.
  • Meet the productivity, quality, safety, health, environmental and morale goals established for the site.
  • Complete and update all necessary production paperwork and record.
  • Ensure equipment in the area assigned is in working order and that working conditions are safe at all times.
  • Review and analyze production records to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Make recommendations for long-term solutions, including recommendations for replacing equipment, refurbishing equipment, procedural changes, productivity improvement, material change, etc., related to the area of accountability.
  • Drive the continuous improvement agenda in area of responsibility through teamwork, skills and capability development.
  • Staff, train, evaluate and develop team

Total Rewards:
  • Salary Range: $70,500 - $80,000

Where Applicable: Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors

  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field highly preferred
  • Previous people management experience in a leadership role preferred
  • Strong facilitation skills and a continuous improvement orientation.
  • Experience facilitating, coaching, and implementing TPM, Lean, Kaizen/Six Sigma events, and driving lean transformation with proven results and implementations in a manufacturing environment (5S, Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, visual management, and leading Kaizen events)
  • Previous experiencewith Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
  • Previous experience with SAP preferred
  • Work flexible shifts, weekends, and overtime according to changing business needs
