Location: Ontario, CA

Pay Rate: $33.50 - $36.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8 am - 5 pm

Looking for Operations Supervisor jobs in Ontario where you can lead from the floor and keep production moving? This opportunity puts your leadership, manufacturing experience, and problem-solving skills to work keeping people productive, quality high, and safety at the center of every shift.

This role will supervise production and warehouse personnel while working closely with Engineering, Operations, Planning, Purchasing, and Management to ensure efficient workflows, quality, proper material flow, and on-time deliveries.

Job Duties
  • Coordinate daily operations, including production, warehousing, and materials management
  • Supervise warehouse staff involved in receiving, packaging, crating, order preparation, and picking
  • Manage inventory cycle counts and work with Receiving Inspection to reduce material issues and vendor returns
  • Track work-in-progress (WIP) and communicate schedule delays to management
  • Ensure accurate transactions and work orders within the company's ERP system
  • Work with Buyers and Planners to prevent and resolve material shortages
  • Partner with Engineering on BOMs, drawings, engineering changes, and transitions from R&D to production
  • Support order processing and product demonstration preparation
  • Provide timely and professional updates to internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Promote operational excellence with a focus on safety, quality, cost reduction, and on-time delivery
  • Help lead and support continuous improvement initiatives
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree, technical training, manufacturing coursework, or leadership development training is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Business Administration, Operations Management, or Engineering preferred
Experience Requirements
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, production, or related industrial environment.
  • Experience leading employees, coordinating production activities, or providing day-to-day direction to a production team.
  • Knowledge of production processes, workplace safety, quality standards, and productivity expectations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use basic computer systems, production tracking software, reports, and operational documentation.
  • Ability to lead by example, hold team members accountable, and respond effectively to changing production priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three to five years of manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience is preferred.
  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Previous supervisory, team lead, shift lead, or production leadership experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, production metrics, scheduling, or quality systems is beneficial.
  • Experience coordinating with maintenance, quality, warehouse, engineering, or other operational departments is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who are dependable, proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to motivate a diverse production team are well positioned for success as a Operations Supervisor.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Ability to succeed in an environment where priorities and processes may change
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout production areas for extended periods during the shift.
  • Ability to bend, reach, climb stairs, and move throughout manufacturing or warehouse environments as required.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely work around production machinery, material handling equipment, noise, and other conditions common to manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to remain active on the production floor while monitoring employees, equipment, safety, quality, and workflow.
