Job summary

Summary

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day management of the boutique's non-selling functions, including supervising shipping and receiving, after-sales, inventory control, loss prevention, POS functions and facilities maintenance. The role supports boutique management by ensuring accurate inventory processing, operational compliance, and efficient back-of-house operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure shipping and receiving affecting store inventory are processed accurately by verifying purchase orders, ticketing, and auditing validation reports.
• Maintain an orderly stock and receiving area and manage general store maintenance and proper merchandise ticketing.
• Participate in inventory and cycle counts and monitor accuracy of receiving, transfers, damages, and returns-to-vendor.
• Oversee compliance with company policies and procedures relating to security, inventory management, sales, and record-keeping.
• Train, coach, and lead associates on POS procedures, return procedures, alterations, safety, and security protocols.
• Ensure adequate security and that physical facilities meet safety codes; manage opening/closing and store locking procedures.
• Assist with payroll administration, scheduling of associates, and adherence to payroll budgets.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of retail stock, shipping/receiving, or operations experience.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule with varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move and handle boxes and fixtures, including lifting.
• Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures and availability to travel as needed.
