Job summary

Helen of Troy is hiring an Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Arlington, TN. You will lead a complete business unit in our Distribution Center, coordinating inbound and outbound operations, and enforcing company processes.

You will mentor staff, analyze labor and vendor compliance, and report daily metrics to management. The role emphasizes English communication, intermediate management and organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office; Spanish/English bilingual is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related experience.
• Strong management, organizational, presentation and multitasking skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and related tools.
• Experience with Oracle/Shipping/Receiving and bar code scanning.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop, and motivate a business unit within the Distribution Center.
• Analyze and troubleshoot to minimize labor and vendor issues.
• Oversee inbound and outbound operations daily.
• Mentor, develop, and train staff.
• Address vendor compliance issues and provide corrective feedback.

Position: Operations Supervisor- 2nd shift

Department: Distribution Center

Work Location: Arlington, TN

What you will be doing:

• You will manage, develop, and motivate an entire business unit of Helen of Troy while maintaining and enforcing established company processes.
• You will analyze, troubleshoot, and recommend corrective plans of actions to minimize labor and vendor compliance issues.
• Manage overall daily inbound and outbound operations of a business unit
• Mentor, develop, and train staff
• Troubleshoot and correct vendor compliance issues while minimizing charge-backs and provide root cause analysis with corrective feedback
• Monitor and report daily goals and objectives to management such as daily workload, daily dollar, labor reports, etc.
• Follow a routine based on established procedure
• Analyze facts to determine action based on standard practices and procedures
• Participate in formulating and executing divisional plans and administering policies, objective and programs
• Participate in highly creative work on abstract research problems in highly technical areas requiring advance knowledge.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office application skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a respectful and diplomatic way, adhering to company values.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma and related experience
• Management skills including organizational, presentation, project, multitasking, teamwork , and time management
• Knowledge in MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint,Windows and ORACLE/Shipping/Receiving, DTC, E-commerce, and Bar code scanning experience
• Ability to sit at desk, computer, etc
• Ability to walk and move about on foot for long distance
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Ability to withstand warehouse settings (varying temperatures)
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
