Job summary

JBS USA offers a 10-week summer internship focused on helping identify operational gaps and improve process efficiency within our world-class production environment. You will gain hands-on exposure to multiple areas of the production process and work with a mentor from our executive leadership team.

You will be expected to participate in projects with real business impact, learn production practices supporting food safety, and experience a culture that values teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a four-year university or pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the operations team.
• Learn effective and efficient operations within a culture of continuous improvement.
• Shadow and learn how to maintain production practices that support the food safety program.
• Monitor product quality and production operations to meet customer expectations.
• Identify problems or bottlenecks in production processes and help resolve them; ensure resources are available to maintain schedules.
• Assist in implementing solutions to fix issues.
• Build relationships with hourly team members.
• Shadow production supervisors and learn day-to-day operations.
• Anticipate delays and take actions to meet schedules.
• Complete and present a project related to issues within operations.

Skills

Enrolled in four-year university

GPA 2.5 or higher

Ability to lift 50 lbs
