Qualifications

• Formal education and/or experience required to fulfill responsibilities of the position.
• Proficient skills in typing, word processing, file maintenance and computer skills.
• Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Two years of secretarial experience preferable.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming calls; take accurate messages and route to appropriate staff.
• Receive and assist outside visitors, bus drivers and other employees.
• Sort and route all incoming and outgoing mail.
• Prepare purchase orders, receive goods or collect proof of receipt from person(s) actually receiving goods, and key invoices for payment.
• Exhibit reliability by completing work as assigned and meeting projected time lines.
• Order all parts and supplies for busses and school vehicles.
• To prepare reports and other documents for the Director.
• Receives and checks monthly bus reports, compiles data, and assists in the preparation of the annual transportation report.
• Assists with the preparation of requests for bids.
• Remain current in skills necessary for assignments, including technology.
• Deal with problems and emergency situations in a reasonable and appropriate manner.
• Create a pleasant and professional atmosphere.
• Demonstrate sound decision making and judgment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
