Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Operations Project Manager (OPM) to support production and manufacturing at our Central Virginia facilities, based primarily in Charlottesville with up to 25% travel to Waynesboro. This individual contributor role manages budgets, schedules, scope, and technical performance across hardware programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a related field with years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or operations.
• Experience tracking project cost, schedule and budget.
• Experience interfacing with IPT and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary manufacturing liaison to IPT for development and execution of the manufacturing strategy.
• Lead program review sessions with internal/external customers on technical, cost, schedule, and manufacturing performance.
• Develop and track action plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, and schedule goals.
• Monitor progress with metrics, dashboards, and reviews to identify risks early.
• Coordinate problem solving with IPT, engineering, suppliers, and production to resolve constraints.
