• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, maintain accurate records, and follow through on details.

Role Description The Operations & Programs Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Marengo, IN, responsible for overseeing the Foundation's daily operational and programmatic activities. This role manages administrative processes, maintains accurate records and databases, and supports financial and grantmaking workflows to ensure efficient operations. The individual coordinates grant and scholarship programs, including application processes, review schedules, communications with applicants, and reporting requirements. The position also supports donor and community engagement by preparing outreach materials, organizing events and meetings, and responding to inquiries from stakeholders. The Operations & Programs Manager collaborates closely with leadership and board members to implement strategic initiatives, track program outcomes, and uphold compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, nonprofit management, public administration, communications, business, education, social services, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Two to five years of experience in accounting or finance preferred. Recent graduates in related fields may be considered in lieu of experience.
• Experience in nonprofit, community development, philanthropy, education, grants administration, program coordination, or a related setting preferred.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with donors, grantees, volunteers, schools, nonprofit partners, community leaders, and the public.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear correspondence, reports, meeting materials, and public-facing content.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, maintain accurate records, and follow through on details.
• Comfort working with databases, spreadsheets, word processing, email, websites, and social media platforms; experience with donor or grant management systems is a plus.
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
• A collaborative, service-oriented approach with a commitment to strengthening the Foundation's vision.
• Availability to attend occasional evening or weekend meetings, programs, or Foundation events as needed.
