Job summary

L3Harris Space & Mission Systems in Wilmington, MA, seeks an Operations Program Manager to lead manufacturing readiness, risk management, and execution from design through test and delivery of spaceflight hardware.

You will supervise a cross-functional operations team, coordinating with design engineering, program management, and IPTs to ensure on-time, within-budget performance in a high-mix, low-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience; graduate degree with 4+ years; in lieu of a degree, 10 years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain secret clearance.
• Experience leading teams or programs in a production environment.
• Manufacturing engineering, supply chain management, or other operational experience.
• Experience with complex electro-mechanical and optical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Lead all planning and execution for operations on a program, including design for manufacturability, production planning, facilities, test, quality, and supply chain.
• Direct operational functions supporting assembly and integration of opto-mechanical and electrical assemblies.
• Provide status on cost, schedule and delivery to program managers.
• Collaborate with IPT leaders to align plans and achieve feasibility.
• Estimate and track operational costs; drive continuous improvement and waste reduction.
