Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of related experience (or 7+ with graduate degree).
• Electrical or electro-mechanical engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute manufacturing engineering for the assembly and integration of opto-electromechanical assemblies.
• Develop scalable processes from technical documentation and create manufacturing procedures and routers.
• Lead process improvement and cost reduction projects, apply lean liberally to the production cell.
• Lead elements of the manufacturing process including optimization of manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts.
• Lead design changes by coordinating with design engineering to address technical, operational, and obsolescence issues.
• Interface with and direct technicians and other operations personnel, back up the operations manager when out on vacation.
• Support capacity planning and lab space layout support for program changes.
• Support production schedule development and execution from new product introduction to low rate repeat build manufacturing.
