Job summary

Bio Creative Labs in Costa Mesa, CA, is seeking an on-site Operations professional to manage daily production planning, purchasing, shipping, warehousing and related processes. You will report to the Operations Controller and make day-to-day decisions within set limits to keep work moving.

You will coordinate with US and overseas vendors, drive on-time customer orders, optimize schedules, and prepare reports to support fast, informed decisions. Experience with ERP/inventory systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in operations, production planning, supply chain or purchasing, ideally in beauty, personal care or consumer goods.
• Experience working with overseas manufacturers and suppliers.
• Strong attention to detail and ownership of tasks through to completion.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP or inventory systems.
• Clear, concise written communication.
• Experience booking freight and handling retail shipping requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage vendor performance on production orders and adjust schedules with US and overseas vendors.
• Plan and lead projects from start to finish, including new customer setups and vendor renewals.
• Ensure customer orders are processed, shipped and delivered on time and handle exceptions.
• Select carriers, book and track shipments, and resolve shipping problems.
• Set shipping priorities with the warehouse and reconcile inventory adjustments.
• Collaborate with purchasing on production order planning and supplier communication.
• Track open projects, identify risks and address them proactively.
• Present decisions to the Operations Controller with data and recommendations.
• Prepare reports and summaries to support quick decision-making.
• Analyze workflows, implement process improvements and write simple guides.
• Prepare operations records and documentation for finance as needed.
